US sheet prices hold steady, spot transactions slowing
US hot rolled coil spot prices remain within a range of $840-860/short ton, and cold rolled coil prices have held at $1,200-1,220/st, Kallanish reports.
Sheet market participants on the selling and purchasing sides agree that buyers are engaging less with spot transactions and are more likely to sit back and observe the market since Nucor introduced its weekly Consumer Spot Price (CSP) (see Kallanish 5 April).
