US raw steel production slides on-month, on-year
Weekly raw steel production in the US for the week ended 20 April was 1.716 million short tons with a capacity utilisation rate of 77.3%, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute. Raw steel production decreased by 0.6% week-on-week. In the week ended 13 April, raw production was 1.726m st and utilisation was 77.7%.
