Turkish wire rod exports plummet in December
Turkish wire rod exports continued their slump in December. They fell sharply to 31,726 tonnes, from 100,970t in December 2021, according to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data monitored by Kallanish. This is also a sharp fall from 157,661t in September, 70,016t in October and 55,132t in November.
The average price was $689/tonne, down from $803/t in December 2021 and $711/t in November 2022.
