Italian scrap market goes quiet amid uncertainty
The Italian scrap market is quiet this week, with prices flat on-week and activity set to ramp up only after Easter, from 2 April, Kallanish hears.
Next month's prices are forecast to remain at current levels. Several mills will stop receiving scrap on 29 March and will resume on 2 April. Heavy load road transport will be suspended from 29 March at 2pm and allowed to resume at 2pm on 2 April, due to the Easter holiday.
