Borusan posts lower first-quarter profit despite higher revenue
Borusan Pipe’s sales soared 65.2% on-year to 357,000 tonnes in the first quarter, with 79% of revenue generated from international markets, Kallanish notes.
Consequently, consolidated January-March revenue increased by 34.4% on-year to $529.2 million. Ebitda however declined 78.1% to $20.1m and net profit fell 83.4% to $11.8m.
Infrastructure and project segment revenue rose remarkably, to $307.4m, with Berg Pipe contributing significantly to the result.
