Italian pig iron prices expected to decline slightly
Italian pig iron prices are seen declining again following a surge towards mid-May when prices strengthened by some $20/tonne compared to transactions in April, market participants tell Kallanish.
Distributors and buyers are however refusing the high values of $450/tonne cfr Italy asked for by some Russian producers. They are said to be willing to buy at below $440/t cfr.
