Zhongsheng Steel begins converter, wire rod line construction
Shanxi Zhongsheng Steel has started construction of a high-speed wire rod production line with 1 million tonnes/year of capacity and one 155-tonne converter with 1.65m t/y of crude steel capacity, Kallanish notes.
The company has to demolish its two 60t converters to secure capacity quota, reserving 50,000 t/y capacity for other use in future. 1m t/y of billet will be provided from the 155t converter as raw materials for the new high-speed wire rod line, and …
