Zhejiang plans to cut capacity
China’s Zhejiang province has released a very modest steelmaking capacity reduction and industrial reorganization plan for 2016-2020, Kallanish notes.
In 2015 Zhejiang produced 18.59 million tonnes of crude steel. It expects to cut just over 3m t/year of crude steel capacity in the 13th five year plan from 2016-2020.
