Zhayi Steel to construct electric arc furnaces
Qian’an-based Zhayi Steel is moving towards being a purely electric arc furnace steelmaker, according to the company’s capacity replacement plan.
Two 100-tonne EAFs are planned to be added by November 2023, which will combine 1.5 million tonnes/year of steel capacity, Kallanish notes.
