Zhanjiang to add 400,000dwt berth

A 300,000-deadweight tonne bulk cargo terminal at Xiashan Port in the Zhanjiang Port Area has been authorised to be expanded to 400,000dwt, Kallanish notes from the Development and Reform Commission of Guangdong. Construction will start in May and is expected to end in June. At the same time, a waterway expansion project will also be carried out. In addition, Xiashan Port also has 250,000dwt, 150,000dwt and 70,000dwt bulk cargo terminals handling iron ore trade.
