Zenith operates first blast furnace at Nantong plant
China’s Zenith Steel has put the No.3 blast furnace into production at its relocated Nantong steelworks on Tuesday. This is the first furnace to operte at the new site, Kallanish learns from the company’s reports.
According to the initial plan, the BF should have an inner volume of 2,300 cubic metres and 1.96 million tonnes/year of iron capacity. The commissioning is six months earlier than the original schedule.
