Zaporizhstal’s steel, pig iron output rebounds in September

Ukrainian flat steel producer Zaporizhstal, partially owned by Metinvest, decreased crude steel production in January-September, the company says. It produced 1.21 million tonnes of crude steel, down by 57.7% on-year, Kallanish notes. Pig iron output also decreased, by 52% to 1.57mt, while rolled steel production fell 56.4% to 1.07mt. In September alone, the plant reduced crude steel production by 62.5% on-year to 106,800t and pig iron output fell 55.4%…
