Zaporizhstal’s March steel, iron output rebound
Ukrainian flat steel producer Zaporizhstal, partially owned by Metinvest, increased crude steel production in March compared to February, the company says.
It produced 184,400 tonnes of crude steel, up 54.4% on-month, Kallanish notes. Pig iron output also increased by 54.6% to 193,600t, while rolled steel production was up 51.4% to 150,080t.
In March 2022, Zaporizhstal produced only 4,700t of steel, 3,300t of pig iron and 62,100t of rolled products…
