Zaporizhstal’s production continues to fall in August
Ukrainian flat steel producer Zaporizhstal, partially owned by Metinvest, decreased crude steel production in January-August, the company says.
It produced 1.11 million tonnes of crude steel, down by 58.3% on-year, Kallanish notes. Pig iron output also decreased by 51.7% to 1.42mt, while rolled steel production fell 56.3% to 91,600t.
