Zaporizhstal to increase iron output after BF upgrade
Ukrainian flat steel producer Zaporizhstal, partially owned by Metinvest, has completed the overhaul of blast furnace No.3, Kallanish notes.
Within 17 days, almost 400 engineers at the plant carried out important stages of repair, in particular, the replacement of tuyere cooling plates and the complete shotcreting of the furnace. The refractory lining was also restored and all mechanisms were repaired, the enterprise says.
