Zaporizhstal reduces steel production, pig iron output increases
Ukrainian flat steel producer Zaporizhstal, partially owned by Metinvest, decreased crude steel production in January, the company says.
It produced 328,900 tonnes, down by 2.2% on-year, Kallanish notes. However, pig iron output increased by 0.3% to 400,100t, while rolled steel production fell 1.6% to 280,700t.
