Zaporizhstal’s 2020 pig iron output rises, steel falls

Ukrainian flat steel producer Zaporizhstal, partially owned by Metinvest, increased pig iron output in 2020, but steel output decreased. It produced 4.5 million tonnes of pig iron last year, up by 2.5% on-year, Kallanish notes. In January-November production had risen 2.7% on-year to 4.1mt (see Kallanish passim).
