Zaporizhstal ramps up pig iron production in July
Ukrainian flat steel producer Zaporizhstal, partially owned by Metinvest, increased pig iron production in July, the company says.
It produced 343,400 tonnes last month, up by 3.4% on-year, Kallanish notes. In January-July Zaporizhstal thus increased pig iron production by 2.2% on-year to 2.5 million tonnes.
However, crude steel production in July fell by -5.5% on-year to 304,600t and rolled products output was 255,400t, down by -1.8%.
