Zaporizhkoks ramps up coke production in May

Ukraine’s Zaporizhkoks plant, part of Metinvest, increased production of blast furnace coke in May, the company says. Output amounted to 75,600 tonnes, up by 6.7% on-year, Kallanish notes. In January-April the plant produced 364,000t, up 2.8% on-year. In 2019 output amounted to 888,900t, up 5% on-year. In May the plant had begun a scheduled upgrade of coke oven battery No.6 (see Kallanish passim). The investment amounted to UAH 90 million ($3.3 million). …
