Zaporizhkoks ramps up coke production in July
Ukraine’s Zaporizhkoks plant, part of Metinvest, increased production of blast furnace coke in July, the company says.
Output amounted to 70,300 tonnes, up by 9% on-year, Kallanish notes. In January-July the plant produced 503,000t, up 4% on-year.
In 2019 output amounted to 888,900t, up 5% on-year.
Recently the plant began a scheduled upgrade of coke oven battery No.6 (see Kallanish passim). The investment amounted to UAH 90 million ($3.25m).
