Yuxi Xianfu to commission new BF in March
Yunnan Yuxi Xianfu Iron & Steel plans to commission its number two 1,350 cubic metre blast furnace in March, according to the Yuxi Industry and Information Technology Department, Kallanish notes.
The iron making capacity of the new BF is 1.22 million tonnes/year, with construction completed in December. Two old 630 cum BFs of combined 1.45m t/y capacity were dismantled for replacement, on 19 January and 19 February respectively.
