Yunnan to build 8 coking transformation projects in 2020
China’s Yunnan province will see eight coking transformation and upgrading projects carried out in 2020 with a combined capacity of 9.82 million tonnes/year, Kallanish notes.
Among them are seven projects in Yunnan’s Qujing City, with total production capacity of 8.77mt.
China is investing in upgrading its coking capacity to increase efficiency and reduce emissions.
