Yunnan issues five-year steel industry development plan
Yunnan Province in southwest China has issued the “Notice on the 14th Five-Year Plan for the High-quality Development of the Manufacturing Industry.”This targets at the layout adjustment and upgrading of the iron and steel industry.
The added value of the province's steel industry is expected to reach CNY 300 billion ($44 billion), ranking one of the top three industries after the non-ferrous industry, according to the plan.
