Yonggang develops world's largest round billet
China’s Jiangsu Yonggang Group has contracted China Twentieth Metallurgical Corporation (MCC20) for the construction of its new No.2 round billet continuous caster, Kallanish learns from MCC20.
Yonggang says it plans to use the caster to produce the world’s largest-diameter round billet, although it has not revealed the exact dimension. The caster will be housed in the company’s electric arc furnace plant.
