Yongda Steel puts quantum EAF into operation
Wuzhou Yongda Iron & Steel (Yongda Steel) has officially put its 100-tonne quantum electric arc furnace plant into production, Kallanish notes. It is located in Wuzhou’s High-end Stainless Steel Industrial Park in Guangxi province.
With a total investment of CNY 430 million ($66.57m), Yongda steel adopted Primetals’ 100t quantum EAF technology for the project. It is expected to reduce costs by about -20%.
