Yildiz commissions cold rolling mill
Yildiz Demir Celik has begun commercial production at its new 1.5 million tonnes/year cold rolling mill after completing trials, a company spokesman tells Kallanish. The unit will supply feedstock to the firm’s 400,000 t/y hot-dip galvanized coil line, commissioned earlier this year.
Surplus cold rolled coil will be sold. Hot rolled coil feedstock will be sourced locally and imported, mainly from Russia.
