Yaoshun Metallurgy plans to boost ferrochrome output
Yaoshun Metallurgy Company, which was newly-established in June, is investing to produce high carbon ferrochrome. It plans to commission one rotary kiln electric furnace (RKEF) in mid-August, Kallanish notes.
The company in Jiayuguan Industrial Park in Gansu province, has built one new 12,500kVA RKEF. The company intends to produce 24,000 tonnes/year of ferrochrome. Yaoshun purchases chrome ore from South Africa.
