Yantai Port puts 400,000dwt wharf into use
Yantai Port in eastern China’s Shandong province held a ceremony to open a 400,000-deadweight tonne wharf on 6 August, Kallanish notes.
On the same day, the “Maranhao” vessel carrying 392,500 tonnes of Vale's iron ore berthed at the 400,000dwt wharf in the Western Port District. It was also the largest ship unloaded in the 159 years since the opening of Yantai Port.
