Yangchun commissions pellet production line
Valin Xianggang's Yangchun New Iron and Steel, located in Yangjiang, commissioned an iron ore pellet production line on 26 December, Kallanish notes.
This unit can produce 1.2 million tonnes/year of pellet by the grate-kiln process. Yangchun Steel therefore no longer needs to purchase pellet externally. It can also increase the proportion of pellet feed into the blast furnace to improve BF utilisation and to lower energy cost.
