Yangang commissions new blast furnace
Yanshan Iron & Steel (Yangang) in Tangshan has put its new 1,250m³ blast furnace into official production. It has a capacity of 1.05 million tonnes/year of pig iron, Kallanish notes.
In order to get the capacity quotas, Yangang dismantled two of its 450m³ BFs and bought some additional quotas from Hebei Jinxi Steel, which decommissioned one 550m³ BF.
