Xuzhou Jinhong obtains EAF upgrade permission
China’s Xuzhou Jinhong Iron & Steel Group has obtained the environmental permit for its electric arc furnace upgrade project, Kallanish notes.
The company plans to use a 130-tonne Consteel EAF to replace its existing 100t unit. In addition, it will be equipped with three refining furnaces, one slab caster and one billet caster.
