Xugang and Zhongxin implement replacement capacity plans
More capacity replacement pans have been announced by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China's Jiangsu province. The plans for Xuzhou Iron & Steel (Xugang) and Zhongxin Iron & Steel involve new ironmaking capacity of 5.287 million tonnes/year, and steelmaking capacity of 2.7m t/y. This will reduce capacities respectively by 1.33m t/y and 700,000 t/y, Kallanish notes.
