Xiongwei Guangda commissions EAF for ferrochrome
Xiongwei Guangda New Material commissioned one electric arc furnace (EAF) on 6 May, Kallanish notes.
It is estimated that the equipment will add more than 5,000 tonnes of high carbon ferrochrome to the company's monthly output. Xiongwei also plans to put a second EAF into production by the end of May.
