Coke shortage halts Xinwu'an Xinhui production
Xinhui Metallurgy, part of the Hebei Xinwu'an Steel Group, has been forced to halt production since 8 February. The company is facing a serious coke supply shortage impacted by logistics restrictions and extended holidays caused by the coronavirus, Kallanish notes.
During the stoppage period, lasting seven to ten days, Xinhui plans to carry out maintenance. Its production is expected to fall by 28,000-40,000 tonnes.
