Xinpu Steel transfers capacity quotas to three steelmakers
China’s Anyang Xinpu Steel is planning to transfer capacity quotas for 1.4 million tonnes/year of ironmaking and 2m t/y of steelmaking to two companies in different cities in the same province of Henan, according to its plan announced by the Anyang Bureau of Industry and Information Technology.
These capacity quotas will be freed by dismantling Xinpu Steel’s two 600 cubic metre-blast furnaces and two 80-tonne converters, Kallanish notes.
