Xinjing Coke shuts down two coke ovens
On 25 November, Hebei Xinjing Coke Company shut down its two 4.3-metre coke ovens with 960,000 tonnes/year of coke capacity, Kallanish notes.
Besides the coke, the company’s two coke ovens also produce 40,000 t/y of tar, 11,000 t/y of crude benzene, and generate electricity from waste gas and heat.
