Xinjiang steel exports surge on overcapacity
Steel exports from China’s north-eastern Xinjiang are surging after rampant investment left the province with massive overcapacity. Exports are likely to be a lasting fixture for the region but are still not at a level which could justify the investments of recent years, Kallanish notes.
