Xiamen Xiangyu commissions joint venture ferronickel plant
The nickel smelter of the PT Obsidian Stainless Steel project, a joint venture between Xiamen Xiangyu Group and Jiangsu Delong Group, has been officially put into operation, Kallanish learns from Xiangyu Group.
It is reported that the Obsidian ferronickel plant has now reached the capacity of 1.1 million tonnes/year over two phases. The ferronickel plant had reached 600,000 t/y of capacity in the first phase which was commissioned in 2019.
