Wujin Stainless sees half-year profit double
China-listed Jiangsu Wujin Stainless Steel Pipe Group has reported a strong performance for the first half of the year, in sharp contrast to the suffering of the carbon steel industry.
The company produced 28,307 tonnes of stainless seamless pipe and 17,978t of stainless welded pipe, surging 23.4% and 35.3% on-year respectively, Kallanish notes. The second quarter improved over the prior quarter.
