Wuhang Steel hot tests first EAF
China's Fuzhou Wuhang Iron & Steel has tested the first 105-tonne electric arc furnace of its EAF transformation project, which was constructed by Sinosteel International, Kallanish notes.
The whole project includes two 105t EAFs with a total capacity of 2 million tonnes/year of crude steel. The previous commissioning date was set for June 2019 but was delayed. Based on this plan, the second EAF is expected to be commissioned soon.
