Wugang Echeng Steel to replace converters
The Hubei Ezhou Economic and Trade Commission has confirmed that Wuhan Iron & Steel Group's Echeng Steel will upgrade the converters in its steelmaking plant. Only 10,000 tonnes/year net of steel capacity will be eliminated through this replacement, and Echeng's capacity will actually increase slightly, Kallanish notes.
