Wugang dismantles coking coal tower
At the end of August, Wuhan Iron & Steel (Wugang) under Baowu Group dismantled a coking coal tower supplying two coke ovens, and a chimney from one coke oven, Kallanish notes.
The No.7 and No.8 coke ovens stopped producing in 2018 and 2016 respectively. The demolition was completed only by the end of August, however. No.7 coke oven, 6m in height, was commissioned in 1999 and had cumulative production of 11 million tonnes during 20 years. To reduce …
