WTO rules against Turkey in US complaint
The World Trade Organisation (WTO) dispute panel has found that Turkey’s retaliatory duties against the US were inconsistent with WTO rules.
Turkey imposed additional import duties on a wide range of US products after the Trump administration implemented Section 232 measures in 2018. Later that year, the US filed a complaint to the WTO regarding Turkey’s retaliatory duties, claiming the measures were inconsistent with WTO rules.
