Worldsteel revises down MENA demand growth forecast
The World Steel Association (worldsteel) has revised down its forecast for Middle East and North Africa steel demand growth in 2018 to 2.8% on-year compared to the 5% forecast in April. Regional demand should therefore total 73.7 million tonnes this year.
In 2019 worldsteel foresees MENA demand growing 2.2% on-year to 75.3mt.
