Worlds largest battery may support South Australian steelmaking
Tesla has officially commissioned the world’s largest lithium ion battery at a wind farm in South Australia. The goal of the project is to help stabilise power supply in the state, which has been a burden on local industry, including the Whyalla steelworks now owned by Liberty OneSteel, Kallanish notes.
