Whyalla on the line as Arrium announces losses
Australia’s Arrium posted a net loss of AUD 235.8 million ($169m) for the six months ended December 2015, compared with a net loss of AUD 1.49 billion a year earlier. Although the company saw Ebitda turn positive, a major loss at the Whyalla plant puts its steelworks in the firing line, Kallanish notes.
