Whitehaven Coal cuts production guidance
Australian coal producer Whitehaven Coal has cut its fiscal-year 2021 production guidance by 0.2-1 million tonnes amid weaker production of thermal coal.
The company now expects to see total production for FY2021 at 20.4 million tonnes, Kallanish notes. This includes about 12.5mt of thermal coal output, leaving about 8mt for metallurgical coal output guidance.
