Westfield Steel temporarily furloughs workers in Indiana
Indiana-based Westfield Steel has temporarily laid off workers at its facilities in Westfield and Terre Haute, Indiana, Kallanish reports.
In a letter issued in accordance with the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act of 1988, the company announced the furlough of 40 workers between the two plants. The reason for the layoffs was due to the effects caused by the Covid-19 crisis on business operations and sales volume.
