Webco posts second-quarter earnings, highlights prior tax boost
US specialty tubing manufacturer Webco Industries saw its on-year profits fall in the fiscal second quarter of 2019, due largely to a tax-related gain in fiscal Q2 2018, Kallanish reports.
In the quarter ended 31 January, Webco earned $4.9 million on sales of $135.9m, down from earnings of $8.4m on sales of $111m in fiscal Q2 2018.
That quarter, however, enjoyed a $5.4m boost due to tax changes created by the Trump administration.
