Weaker Russian demand hampers NLMK first-quarter sales

NLMK’s consolidated sales slumped -5% quarter-on-quarter in the first quarter to 4.15 million tonnes due to the seasonal contraction of Russian domestic demand and increased slab deliveries to NLMK USA. The drop was led by a -20% slump in semi-finished product shipments to 1.04mt.
